Now he's back from U21 duty.

Would be a good signing again.

Good.

Get an option to buy clause in there too BERKS.

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
Good move, although I don't like the idea of just developing one of Arsenal's players for them on a long term basis, on the offchance he'll make their side one day.

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
I only want him if it is permanent rather than loan.

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
I don't understand what the gooners are doing with him, he's 23 and fourth choice, not in their plans for a second year - yet don't want to sell and despite having 3 years left on his contract , want to give him a new one?

Would be good to get him on loan again though.

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
After next season he could be second choice

Debuchy will make way
Chambers to CB to replace Mert

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
If they can get some mugs to pay 2m loan fee every year then it's not bad business is it... give him a new contract to ensure that he can't ever leave for free.

Jenkinson should just refuse a new contract to force the issue but I doubt he will as he's a gooner and probably still hopes to make it there.

really rate jenks, best right back we've had for a few years

Re: JENKINSON loan to be renewed
At this rate we could become the gooners nursery for all of their British youth players.

Would that make you happy?

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
He has been the only, and I mean ONLY positive in England U21s diabolical performance at the U21 Euros

He will return to us match fit and ready to go against the might of Lusitanos

Buster 2:42 Thu Jun 25
Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
Yeah, he's going to play next week against a tin pot outfit despite having had no proper break this summer.

Ironic

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
Personally I would still rather sign a permanent Hammer for this position rather than pay Arsenal for us to nurture one of their players.

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
or he signs on loan, has another great season, we improve as a team, challenge top 6 and he then wants to stay....always a possibility!!!

Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
i hope we've got a view to buy this time but if he went elsewhere we'd all be pissed.

Mr. Burns 3:17 Thu Jun 25
Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
Surely if there is a "view to buy" they can just sell him to us now?

Trevor B 3:18 Thu Jun 25
Re: Jenkinson loan to be renewed
I reckon we might get first refusal (not set transfer fee) with perhaps the loan fee being deducted from any potential transfer, but seeing as Wenger doesn't want to sell him this summer I would doubt whether he would sanction a full buy option for next summer either.
